046030800This exhibition presents contemporary Japanese art dealing with the complexities of gender and sexual identity, the differences between male and female, and all that lies between. A variety of genres includs photography, video-art, installation and presentation by renowned contemporary Japanese artists, among them: Morimura Yasumasa, Ono Yoko, Sawada Tomoko and Okada Hiroko. The exhibition shows another face of Japan - one that has gone beyond the age of tradition and the long nights in the pleasure quarters. The works arouse a debate concerning the complex issues of Japanese culture today.
