From a series of comic pictures of the 11 acts of Chushingura (The Treasury of the Loyal Retainers), owned by the Tikotin Museum of Japanese Art.
Top right of each print - a small depiction of a scene from the original drama.
In this scene, Hangan prevents the execution of Moronao. The parody shows a quarrel between man and wife.
